Film lovers have 100 movies to savour this year during the 11th edition of the festival, with screenings taking place at arthouse cinemas and cultural centres, as well in the open air.
The main competition, entitled Making Way, focuses on emerging international talent.
Twelve films are pitted against each other, and the winner will receive the Kraków Film Award, worth USD 100,000.
This year, the jury of the main competition is being chaired by seasoned Polish Oscar-winning production designer Allan Starski.
Festival-goers can also investigate the Discoveries and Best of Fests section, which highlights hits on the international festival circuit.
And those intrigued by new cinema on the other side of the Atlantic can check out eight pictures in the US Indies section.
The festival runs from April 26 to May 5.
