According to the Polish Consulate General in New York, the three-day “Women Entrepreneurs Power Trip” event was expected to “gather top female executives and entrepreneurs from both the U.S. and Poland, enabling Polish women access to American markets and insight into best practices in international business.”

The guests were expected to celebrate Polish champions of women’s rights, including "trailblazers" such as Nobel Prize-winning scientist Marie Skłodowska-Curie, painter Tamara Łempicka and businesswoman Helena Rubinstein, the consulate has said.

A New York-based non-profit organisation called Polish & American Women Entrepreneurs was due to host the event, in partnership with the Polish Consulate General in New York, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, and Poland’s Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology.
