The planned performance, which is part of the band’s “No Filter” tour across Europe, is to feature some of the group’s all-time favourite hits such as Satisfaction, Paint it Black and Brown Sugar.

The concert will be the band’s fifth performance in Poland, following an 11-year hiatus.

The first two gigs, held at Warsaw’s Kongresowa Hall in 1967, went down in history as some of the greatest rock music events in communist Poland.

Thirty-one years later the band returned to the country to give a concert at the Silesian Stadium in the southern city of Chorzów. Their most recent show was at Warsaw’s Służewiec Horse Racetrack in 2007.

The Rolling Stones’ latest releases include the blues album Blue & Lonesome and On Air, an album featuring concert recordings from the early stages of the band’s career. (aba)
