More than 1,880 people took part but only 1,806 kept the ball in the air for ten seconds, to meet the rules, and they await Guinness's confirmation of their record-breaking attempt.
The record previously belonged to 299 people in Taiwan.
Former Polish volleyball player Paweł Papke, former Polish coach Waldemar Wspaniały, singer Antek Smykiewicz and fitness trainer Adrianna Palka were all involved in prepping the record-setters for their task. (vb)
