Poles proficient in English: survey

English-language proficiency is high in Poland, according to a new ranking.

Poland came 10th out of 72 countries surveyed in the latest English Proficiency Index. It was ninth out of 26 European countries.
Netherlands had the highest ranking, with Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland rounding out the top five.
International education company Education First, which draws up the index, tested the English-language skills of hundreds of thousands of adults in 72 countries worldwide.(vb/pk)
