The 50th Sabałowe Bajania festival runs until the end of the week.

Attractions on offer include numerous concerts, exhibitions of folk art and tastings of regional dishes.

"This will be a special anniversary with special attractions,” said the organizers, from the Bukowina Tatrzańska folk centre.

“We are confident that this year's Sabałowe Bajania, which is a great celebration of local dialect, singing, dance, music and folk art... will continue to foster a sense of tradition."

A range of awards await the best performers, including cash prizes. (pk)
