This year marks the 10th anniversary of Lem's death.
The slogan of this year's festival is “Time and Space”.
“Lem's work strongly refers to the concept of time and space, which are also the domain of science,” the chairman of the festival's organising committee, prof. Robert Stawarz, said.
He added that in the past, Lem's science-fiction was perceived as fiction, but now the elements in his works can be seen in real scientific achievements. (rg)
