The fantasy game, which was created by CD Projekt Red, took the prizes for Best Role-Playing Game and Developer of the Year, besides the main gong.
The Polish company's co-founder Marcin Iwiński, who attended the L.A. bash, quipped that he had come “all the way from Poland, where sex on unicorns is a common thing,” alluding to one of the game's more risqué scenes.
The fantasy series follows the adventures of monster-slayer Geralt, and it is based on the best-selling novels of Andrzej Sapkowski.
The Hollywood production company behind the lucrative 'Mummy' franchise is currently backing a feature film that will bring Geralt to the silver screen. It will be directed by Polish Academy Award nominee Tomasz Bagiński (The Cathedral). (nh/rk)
