Conchita Wurst makes Polish debut

Former Eurovision-winner Conchita Wurst performed in Poland for the first time over the weekend, joining the revelry at the 6th Witches' Sabbath Festival in Kielce.

“Nobody has to love me, but you have to accept that I exist and that I'm here,” the Austrian star told Poland's TVN station.
“Just like I accept you,” the singer added.
However, the bearded star, who describes himself as a drag queen (real name Thomas Neuwirth), was given a warm welcome at the Kielce event.
“It was a great honour, as the biggest stars of the Polish music scene were playing,” Wurst said.
“I was nervous,” the singer admitted.
Wurst won the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, and has since been much in demand at both in Austria and internationally. (nh)
