The free festival hosted over half a million punters last year, and once again, special train services have been provided by Polish National Railways (PKP) to help facilitate access to the event.
Among the stars of the 2013 edition are UK indie group the Kaiser Chiefs, heavy metal veterans Anthrax and Californian rockers Ugly Kid Joe.

The festival is organised by one of Poland's most prominent charitable foundations, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, with the event originally conceived as a way of thanking the organisations many volunteers.
However, it has since grown into what the foundation bills as “the biggest open-air concert in Europe.”
Besides the on-stage actics, meetings with major figures are hosted in the regular Academy of Fine Arts sessions, with this year's guests including film director Emir Kusturica as well as musician and multi-faceted artist Krzysztof Skiba.
Przystanek Woodstock runs from 1 August to 3 August. More on the current edition can be discovered via this special interview for Polish Radio's English Section. (nh)
