Eric Clapton plays Lodz

Around 15,000 packed into the Atlas Arena in Lodz, central Poland, for a concert by guitar legend Eric Clapton, Friday evening.

Clapton, born in 1945 in Surrey, southern England is promoting his new album Old Stock, which celebrates 50 years in the music business for the guitarist who made his name with the 1960s super group Cream.
The two-hour concert opened with tracks "Hello Old Friend" and "My Father's Eyes." and the set included favourites such as "Layla" and "Wonderful Tonight", which Clapton played on acoustic guitar.
Cream hits "Crossroads" and "Cocaine" were also included and the encore of "Sunshine Of Your Love" finished the concert.
Clapton's band included Doyle Bramhall II (guitar), Steve Jordan (drums), Chris Stainton (piano and keyboards), Willie Weeks (bass) and Greg Leisz Carrack (electric Hawaiian guitar).
Clapton moves on to to Munich for the next concert of the tour. (pg)
