Lach, who is in the running for this year's MTV Music Awards as “Best Polish Artist”, will record the albums for the rapper's new Berhane Sound System label.

The American hip hop legend discovered the 23-year-old Polish vocalist in a remix competition for his track “Set it Off”.

“It was just something about her voice that stood out - the way she added to the track,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.

Snoop ultimately hooked up with his Polish protege this August for a music video in Lach's native city of Lodz, central Poland, following a performance at Krakow's Coke Live Festival.

Lach's 2011 album Krzyzk (Scream) garnered two nominations in Poland's leading music industry awards, the Frederyki (named after Polish-French composer Frederic Chopin).

Meanwhile, Snoop Lion is preparing to release his first foray into reggae, an album suitably named Reincarnated. The Lion of Judah is one of the most important symbols for Rastafarians.

“I feel like I’ve always been Rastafari, I just didn’t have my third eye open,” the artist told The Washington Post. (nh/pg)
