Duda was also scheduled to open a Polish-American Forum for New Technologies. The forum, set up by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, will promote the Polish tech industry and will serve as a communication platform between Polish companies and world’s biggest IT firms, state news agency PAP reported.

Polish state-run oil and gas company PGNiG last week announced the signing of an agreement with US company Venture Global LNG to buy an additional 1.5 million tonnes of LNG per year as part of efforts to diversify supplies.

In another agreement, Poland and the United States signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in civilian nuclear energy.
