Krzysztof Szczerski, chief of staff to the Polish head of state, told public broadcaster Polish Radio that the invitation had been sent by US President Donald Trump.
According to information obtained by Polish Radio, the two presidents are expected to meet in Washington on June 12.
While in America in June, the Polish president will also visit Houston, Texas and the US West Coast, Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
Poland and the United States agreed to bolster defence ties and pledged to step up cooperation on energy projects when Duda and Trump met at the White House in September last year.
