Earlier in the day, Poland’s Civil Aviation Authority (ULC) indefinitely suspended all passenger flights by Boeing 737 Max 8 and Boeing 737 Max 9 aircraft entering Polish air space, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

Polish airline LOT said on Tuesday it was temporarily grounding all Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft in its fleet following the deadly Ethiopian Airlines crash.

A total of 149 passengers and eight crew from 35 countries, including two Polish nationals, were killed when an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 Max 8 plane heading to Nairobi in Kenya crashed near Addis Ababa shortly after take-off on Sunday.
