Polish diplomats have vowed to protest after German daily Augsburger Allgemeine referred to “Polish” death camps in an article about World War II, according to reports.

Dariusz Pawłoś, a spokesman for the Polish embassy in Berlin, told public broadcaster Polish Radio: “Once again, we must express great disappointment and regret that the German media have reported on German Nazi camps in occupied Poland in such an untrue, false way.”

Public broadcaster Polish Radio earlier this year launched a website, GermanDeathCamps.info, aimed at debunking misconceptions about Poland’s role in the Holocaust.

The site explains the Holocaust and how Nazi Germans ran death camps to exterminate Jews and other victims of Adolf Hitler’s regime in World War II.
