Two Polish women are fighting for their lives in hospital after they became the random targets of a mentally unstable man who attacked them with a hammer in London on Sunday, according to reports.

British media reported that the younger victim, aged 30, lived with her sister in a house three doors down from the attacker.
The other victim was the women’s 64-year-old mother.
The 27-year-old attacker was probably a stranger to his victims, according to reports.
The man is in police custody on charges of two counts of attempted murder. (vb)
