In the north-eastern Polish towns of Suwałki and Sejny, Skvernelis is expected to meet officials to discuss cooperation between local authorities in Poland and Lithuania, according to Polish news agency PAP.
PAP cited an official in Skvernelis’s office as saying that the prime minister would discuss setting up an education and cultural centre in Suwałki with a Lithuanian kindergarten.
Some 5,000 Lithuanian nationals live in Suwałki and surrounding areas close to the Polish-Lithuanian border, according to PAP.
