He is expected to meet in Washington with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for talks about Polish-American ties as well as regional and global security ahead of a NATO summit in July.
It will be the pair's second meeting since Pompeo took over from Rex Tillerson in March. Czaputowicz and Pompeo met at a NATO foreign ministers' meeting in Brussels in late April.
On Tuesday, Czaputowicz will be in New York where he will chair a United Nations debate about protecting civilians in armed conflicts.
Poland holds the month-long rotating presidency of the United Nations Security Council throughout May. Poland became a temporary member of the council for a two-year stint in January.
Czaputowicz's US visit follows Polish President Andrzej Duda's trip to New York for a security council debate on Thursday. (vb/pk)
