Polish president pays tribute to Cranberries singer

Polish President Andrzej Duda has paid tribute to Dolores O’Riordan, the lead singer of The Cranberries rock group, who died suddenly on Monday at the age of 46.

Duda wrote on Twitter: “Dolores O’Riordan has passed away. She bereaved The Cranberries but left us a lot of beautiful music. We are in tears. Thank you. Requiescat in Pace.’

Family members were devastated to hear the news of O’Riordan’s death and have requested privacy.

Founded in Limerick, Ireland, in 1989, The Cranberries have sold over 40 million records.
