The main aim of Witold Waszczykowski's trip to North Africa is to hold talks on uncontrolled migration and terrorism in the region, in addition to discussing bilateral relations, the Polish foreign ministry said.
It added that Waszczykowski also wanted to gain an insight into North Africa's problems as Poland prepares to begin its two-year term as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in January.
Waszczykowski will be in Algeria on Saturday and Sunday and will then head for Tunisia, where he will stay until Tuesday, the Polish foreign ministry said on its website.
During the trip, Waszczykowski is expected to meet with the prime ministers and foreign ministers of both countries. In Tunisia, he is also scheduled to meet with the country's president.
