Warsaw, Zagreb oppose two-speed Europe: Croatian president

Poland and Croatia both oppose a two-speed Europe, Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović said after talks with her Polish counterpart in Zagreb on Tuesday.

At a joint conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda, Grabar-Kitarović said their two countries agree that “Europe should be a one-speed Europe.”

She added that Poland and Croatia contribute to GDP growth in the EU and to the stability of the continent.

Grabar-Kitarović said she and Duda discussed cooperation on defence. She added that Poland and Croatia share concerns about regional stability.

She also said Croatia was keen to boost economic ties with Poland, including by increasing Polish investment in her country.
