Nobody was hurt, but many workers lost money, documents and possessions, RMF FM said.

The hostel was completely destroyed in the blaze on Saturday afternoon in Kwadijk, northwest Netherlands, the radio station reported, adding that the Poles work in nearby greenhouses.

The company employing the Poles gave them EUR 100 each to cover basic expenses, one of the workers told RMF FM.

Bosses said staff would be paid for Monday, though employees did not have to come to work that day, he added.
