According to Polish presidential aide Krzysztof Szczerski, advisors to the French and German leaders said during the meeting that they were happy about US Vice President Mike Pence's declaration at a recent Munich security conference that the US remains committed to Europe and NATO.
Security issues and the situation in Ukraine were also discussed in the meeting of advisors to Polish, German and French leaders.
The three countries' finance ministers met on Wednesday, following on last year's pledges of the Weimar Triangle's foreign ministers to boost the group's significance in Europe.
The group was set up in 1991 to promote cooperation between Poland, Germany and France. (vb/pk)
