The homeless man was unharmed thanks to the quick response of passers-by, including a train driver who used a fire extinguisher to put out the flames.

The suspects, men of Libyan and Syrian origin, set fire to the 37-year-old Pole’s clothing as he slept on a bench at a station of the Berlin underground, according to local media reports.

Deutsche Welle said on Tuesday that six of the seven men turned themselves in to the local police, while the seventh man, believed to be main suspect, was arrested.
