At least 25 people were killed in an attack on Sunday by Cairo's largest Coptic cathedral targeting Egypt's Christian minority.

In a letter to Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Duda wrote: "Please accept my expressions of the deepest sorrow and sympathy, on behalf of myself and the Polish nation."

Duda said those behind the attack would not succeed in weakening the unity of Egyptian people.

In Turkey, two bombs killed 38 people, many of them police officers, next to a football stadium in Istanbul on Saturday night.

In a message to Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, Duda expressed his “deepest sympathy and solidarity in these difficult moments."
