The court is the main judicial authority of the United Nations.
The joint position of the V4 countries – Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary – on the achievements and challenges of the International Court of Justice was delivered by Andrzej Misztal, director of the Legal and Treaty Department at the Polish Foreign Ministry.
In his address, Misztal declared the Visegrad Group’s support for the key role which the Court plays in the peaceful resolution of international disputes. He also noted that the International Court of Justice cannot carry out its full mission without the commitment of all UN Member States. (rg)
