Lewandowski in drive to help kids in Nepal

Poland's star football player Robert Lewandowski is heading a drive to provide children in Nepal with vaccines.

A fundraising campaign was launched by UNICEF Poland on Monday. Lewandowski has for several years been an UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
UNICEF pointed out that on April 25 last year, Nepal was hit by an earthquake that killed 9,000 and injured more than 22,000.
The organization is warning that children in Nepal are in danger – coming down with tuberculosis, measles and polio in many cases means that youngsters there who have not been vaccinated will die. (pk)
