Russia has called for a board game developed by Poland’s Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) to be withdrawn because it shows the former communist system in a bad light, a report says.

According to Poland’s IAR news agency, the Russian consumer authority says that it has received complaints over The Queue (Kolejka), a board game developed by the IPN.

IAR reported that complaints were made about the game’s instructions, which refer to the Soviet Union as having imposed communism in Poland.

According to the IPN, The Queue is “a board game that tells a story of everyday life in Poland at the tail-end of the communist era.” (rg/pk)
