Visa-free travel for Poles to US in 3-4 years?
PR dla Zagranicy
Poland should be included in the visa-free travel with the United States by 2019, according to the US consulate in Warsaw.
Robert Batchelder, Consul General to the US in Warsaw, explained that the refusal rate of visas to Poles currently stands at six percent, and that Poland will be included in the visa-free list once the figure reaches three percent.
Batchelder added that the procedures for issuing visas are very friendly for Polish citizens and encourage Poles to visit the United States.
Poland is the only country in Central Europe not to be included in the US Visa Waiver Programme. The issue has been a major topic in bilateral talks between the two countries in recent years. (rg/rk)
