US Senate confirms new US ambassador

Paul W. Jones has been confirmed as the next US ambassador to Poland, replacing outgoing diplomat Stephen Mull.

“I'm honored that the US Senate confirmed my nomination as the next Ambassador to Poland,” Jones tweeted on Thursday.
Jones was earlier an ambassador to Malaysia and currently works in Europe at the State Department.
Stephen Mull had been the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland since 2012. (rg)
