According to the Scottish government report, ethnic Poles are 86 percent likely to be economically active, with 56 percent estimated to have full-time employment, while five percent are believed to be unemployed.
Regarding the overall Scottish adult population, 63 percent of the Scottish population are economically active, of which 36 percent have full-time employment.
Scotland's communities secretary Alex Neil has commented that ''the contribution our ethnic communities make to both our economy and our society cannot be underestimated.”
The report draws on data gathered in the 2011 census, and it builds on another study on equality in Scotland published in 2014.
The report also found that Africans were most likely to be unemployed in Scotland, while Chinese and Arab groups had the highest proportions of students. (nh)
