Poles take over leadership of NATO commandos

Polish soldiers have taken over the revolving leadership of the commando special forces within NATO.
The move is seen as a success for members the Polish military, who had to undergo five years of intensive training to bring them up to par.
One of the last tests was carried out in September 2014 in an exercise code-named “Noble Sword”.
This was when Poland was finally confirmed to be able to command the NATO commandos, noted General Piotr Patalong. (rg)
