David Johnson arrived in the Polish capital at the start of a four-day trip to Poland, a day after Michael Zehaf-Bibeau gunned down a soldier posted by a war memorial in Ottawa and then burst into the parliament building before being shot dead by a ceremonial officer.
On Monday a man described by authorities as having been 'radicalised' ran down a soldier with his car in Quebec.

President Bronislaw Komorowski said that the incidents constituted “a real increase in the threat of terrorism” and expressed his “deep sympathy and solidarity” with the people of Canada.
Governor General Johnson thanked President Komorowski for his words and said that Canada was in “deep shock” after the attacks.
The Governor General is the representative of the British monarchy in Canada and, with his wife, will be visiting Krakow as well as Warsaw during his four-day stay in the country. (pg)
